PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capping device capable of achieving miniaturization of the device itself by simplifying a constitution, and a liquid injection device. SOLUTION: The capping device is provided with a lift lever 30 and a cap support lever 40, which are displaced so as to reciprocate a cap 22 between two positions of a retreat position apart from a nozzle forming face and a sealing position for sealing the nozzle forming face, a moving wire rod 33, which is thermally actuated in order to displace each lever 30, 40 in a forward direction of allowing the cap 22 to move from the sealing position toward the retreat position, a torsion spring 43, which biases each lever 30, 40 in a backward direction of allowing the cap 22 to move from the retreat position toward the sealing position, a claw lever 32 for regulating the displacement in the backward direction of each lever 30, 40 based on bias force from the torsion spring 43, and a release wire rod 36 which releases the displacement regulation on each lever 30, 40 by the claw member 32 when the nozzle forming face is sealed by the cap 22.
