An insert for an injection moulded component (14), especially a fixing box for a fixing agent in a receiving opening (17), comprises at least one outer surface (19). A metallic corrosion protection layer is applied to at least the outer surface, and a sealing layer (13) is precipitated on the protection layer. The sealing layer is based on a silicate or organo-silicate, and is at least 1 mu m thick. The insert consists of a sleeve shaped member and the sealing layer is a lacquer. The corrosion protection layer consists of ZnNi or Zn. The corrosion and sealing layers are coated with polybutylene terepthalate, polyamide and/or glass fibre filled polymer.
