The method involves determining a vector field, which is formed from displacement vectors from two images. Each of the displacement vectors describes displacement of local image information between two images. A divergence value is computed from the vector field for analysis of movement of the object. The displacement vector of the local image information is obtained from a correlation of an image area of one of the images with an image area of the other image. An independent claim is also included for a tomography device for implementing an analysis of movement of an object.
