A receiving standby state notify method and a mobile communication terminal are provided to enable the terminal to add a caller's telephone number to reception records if a call is requested from the caller while a user of the terminal is in conversation with the third party or in absent state, so as to notify the caller's telephone number of a receiving standby state of the user if the user can receive the call of the caller. A storage unit(150) stores a receiving standby state notify program for generating a receiving standby state notify message indicative of a receiving standby state to transmit the message to a sending terminal. A wireless communication processor(160) transmits the message to the sending terminal. If a call is requested from the sending terminal while a user is in conversation with the third party or in absent state, a controller(170) adds reception contents for the call to reception records. If a call with the third party is terminated or a key operation exists in the absent state, the controller executes the program to generate the notify message, and controls the processor to send the message to the sending terminal. |
