The system provides near real-time patient monitoring, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, anytime, anywhere, and is always ON. The patient worn device is one component of a complete system. The device portion of the system combines ease of use, excellent battery life, low cost, and the best features of telementry, Holter recorders, and event/loop recorders while eliminating the hassles of hookup, lost/overwritten data, and user intervention required to send in data.
