A steering apparatus equipped with a motor-driven tilting and telescopic steering column is provided to form a serration of a transmission gear at a predetermined angle with respect to a serration of a clutch, thereby allowing the transmission gear and the clutch to remove a relative displacement. A motor gear is rotated by a motor. A hollow power transmission gear(205) is engaged with the motor gear and provided with the first serration on an inner circumference. A clutch(211) is provided with the second serration on an outer circumference. The second serration is spaced apart from the first serration by a predetermined angle with respect to the central axis of the hollow power transmission gear(205). A movement shaft has a front end coupled to the clutch(211) and a rear end coupled to a solenoid. An elastic member supports the front end of the clutch(211). A tilt drive is provided at a front end of the elastic member. A telescope drive is provided at a rear end of the power transmission gear(205). An electronic control unit(ECU) controls the driving of the motor and the solenoid.
