PURPOSE: An electrode for a fuel cell is provided, to reduce the power loss generated at a catalyst supporting layer and the contact resistance between a catalyst supporting layer and a current collector. CONSTITUTION: The electrode comprises a conductive catalyst supporting layer(12); a catalyst layer(10) bonded to the one side of the supporting layer; and a metal conductive layer(14) coated to the other side of the supporting layer. Preferably the metal conductive layer is used as a conducting path of the electron generated at the catalyst layer, is connected with a current collector, is made of gold, platinum, silver, titanium, tantalum and zirconium, is coated by sputtering, vacuum evaporation-condensation, or electroplating, and has a thickness of 1-10 micrometers. The catalyst supporting layer is made of carbon fiber or carbon paper. |
