Efficient Key Pre-Distribution System for Secure Distributed Sensor Networks and Method Thereof

An efficient key pre-distribution system for a securely-distributed sensor network and a method thereof are provided to obtain a common secret key of sensor nodes by using distributed keys which are allocated to all sensor nodes. A base station is connected to plural sensor nodes through a wireless network, receives data from the sensor nodes, and distributes an authentication key to the sensor nodes. A key pool(201) generates a pool of the keys. A key analyzer(202) arranges the key pool into plural matrices. A key distributor(203) receives rows and columns of the matrices from the key analyzer and distributes the rows and columns to the sensor nodes. The rows and columns which are divided to the sensor nodes, are used for searching for a common secret key required for authenticating the sensor nodes.
