A key button input pattern supporting method of a mobile communication terminal is provided to be capable of differently setting input patterns of key buttons by using existing arrayed key buttons without adding hot keys, so that a user can conveniently select more functions provided from the terminal. When a key signal is inputted, a timer is operated to check input patterns during preset time(S11-S17). The checked input patterns are inquired about from an input pattern table to carry out an execution command matched with the input patterns(S19,S23). The input patterns refer to once-pressing, long-term pressing, and twice-pressing functions.
