摘要 A wheel assembly for an automatic robot cleaner is provided to prevent no-load operation of a wheel by cutting off power supply when the wheel does not contact a floor being cleaned. A wheel assembly for an automatic robot cleaner includes a support unit(10) on which a driving motor(11) is mounted; and a wheel(20) coupled to the support unit and rotated in one direction by the driving motor to move a robot cleaner body in a forward direction. The support unit is hinge-coupled to the robot cleaner body in such a manner that the wheel is rotatable in the direction of contacting the floor and in the direction of separating from the floor with respect to the robot cleaner body. The wheel assembly further includes a spring(30) for elastically pressing the support unit in the direction where the wheel contacts the floor.
