<p>A window locking system, e.g. to lock two window section into the fixed frame, has a handle (6) operated drive stub with a non circular end connected to a pinion segment by an adaptor shaft. The adaptor locates into a non circular hole in the pinion segment with the pinion centre offset from the axis of the handle drive in the direction of the segment. This provides a compact strong drive with no special reinforcing required.</p> |
