A curtain air bag device is provided to allow a curtain air bag to be completely deployed within a short time by preventing one end of a folding cushion from being interfered by a structure of a vehicle body. A curtain air bag device includes a folding cushion cover(61) mounted on a side surface of a vehicle body; and a folding cushion(62) folded several times and arranged in the folding cushion cover such that the folding cushion is deployed upon occurrence of vehicle crash. The folding cushion has one end(63) fixed in the folding cushion cover and the other end(64) arranged between the folded parts of the folding cushion so as to be deployed without being interfered by the vehicle body.
