PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift device for an automatic transmission capable of miniaturizing the shift device, and improving a degree of freedom in an mounting position, and the shifting operatability. SOLUTION: This shift device 24 has a main body 26 and a shift lever 28. The shift lever 28 is tiltable between a neutral position, and an R (reverse) position, a D (drive) position, a + (shift-up) position and a - (shift-down) position around the neutral position, and returned to the neutral position when the operation is released. The operation of the shift lever 28 to one of the operating position is electrically detected by respective detecting switches 48, 49, 50, 51. A P-range switch 53 for selecting a parking range is mounted on the shift lever 28. An upper face of the shift lever 28 is provided with a select switch 52 for validating a detecting signal of respective detecting switches 48, 49, 50, 51 on the basis of the shifting operation of the shift lever 28. |
