The device has an electronic controlling device (C) supplying power to an electric motor (M) by a voltage signal. A control algorithm in the device provides varying equivalent voltage and excitation frequency depending on measured current drain of an oil mechanical pump (P) and on a maximum power that can be delivered. The algorithm adjusts the equivalent voltage and the frequency of the signal supplying power to the motor.
