A supply method and a device thereof are provided to prevent problems due to a paper medium counting error and to stably discharge the paper media by keeping a uniform gap between the paper medium inserted into a transfer path and the following paper medium. A paper medium supply method is composed of steps for providing a pickup roller(110) picking up paper media from a storage box(102) one by one, a feed roller(120) installed adjacently to the pickup roller, to deliver the paper media into a transfer path together with the pickup roller by receiving power from a motor, and a gate roller(130) rotated with contacting to the feed roller; moving the paper medium picked by the pickup roller into the transfer path by using the feed roller and the gate roller; passing the paper medium through a first sensor(103) installed adjacently to the feed roller; sensing a front end of the paper medium by using a second sensor(104) separated from the first sensor correspondingly to the length of the normal paper medium; stopping a separating motor(105) if the first sensor detects the paper medium during sensing the front end of the paper medium through the second sensor; returning the paper medium by reversely rotating the feed roller through the separating motor; and rotating the separating motor forward if the paper medium is not detected by the first sensor.
