A flat panel display device and an apparatus for installing the display device are provided to obtain sufficient heat radiation effect, minimize a noise generated when the display device is moved, and improve the strength of a back cover of the display device. A display device(1) includes a flat display module, a back cover for protecting the back of the flat display module, and slits formed at the edge of the back cover. Heat generated in the display device is emitted from the display device through the slits. An apparatus for installing the display device includes a support(20) and a base(30). The support is connected with the display device and extended downward. The base is formed at the bottom end of the support. The base is extended backward.
