A liquid crystal display and a display method thereof are provided to display an image in a forward direction irrespective of the rotation of a liquid crystal panel by detecting the rotation of the liquid crystal panel through a sensing unit when the liquid crystal panel is rotated from the front side to the rear side. A signal control unit(200) supplies first gate and data control signals when a liquid crystal panel is rotated toward the front side, and supplies second gate and data control signals when the liquid crystal panel is rotated toward the rear side. A gate driving unit(400) supplies different scanning signals in response to the first or second gate control signal. A data driving unit(300) supplies different data signals in response to the first or second data control signal. The liquid crystal panel(500) displays an image by the scanning signals and the data signals. There is also provided a sensing unit(100) for detecting the position of the liquid crystal panel and supplying a sensing signal to the signal control unit. The signal control unit supplies the second gate and data control signals in response to the sensing signal.
