A digital X-ray detector and a method for fabricating the same are provided to simplify a process by reducing the number of masks to thereby reducing an error rate of processes. A first substrate(60) and a second substrate(50) face each other at a predetermined interval. A gate line and a data line are formed on the first substrate. A storage lower electrode(61) is formed corresponding to a pixel region. A storage line intersects the storage lower electrode. A thin film transistor(TFT) is formed at an intersection of the gate line and the data line. A storage upper electrode(66a) overlaps with one upper portion of a drain electrode of the thin film transistor. A blocking layer(66b) is formed at a channel region of the thin film transistor. A charge collection electrode(70a) contacts with a data pad. A first pad electrode contacts with a data pad. A second pad electrode contacts with a gate pad. An amorphous selenium ion layer is filled between the first and second substrates.
