FABRICATION METHOD OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

A manufacturing method of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to manufacture a device by means of an etch stopper without a separate mask process. A gate electrode(103) is formed on a substrate. An insulation layer(107), a semiconductor layer(109) and an etch stopper layer(111) are formed on the gate electrode. The etch stopper layer and the semiconductor layer are patterned. Both side portions of the etch stopper layer are removed so that a portion of the semiconductor layer is exposed. A conduction layer is formed on the entire surface of the substrate. The conduction layer is patterned so that the source/drain electrodes and a channel region are formed. A passivation layer having a drain electrode contact member is formed on the entire surface of the substrate. A pixel electrode is formed on the passivation layer and contacted with the drain electrode through the contact hole.
