A backlight structure and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) including the same are provided to improve uniformity of brightness of the LCD and improve black brightness by providing a diffusion plate for diffusing light to a backlight and concentrating the diffused light. A plurality of lamps(111) supply light to a liquid crystal panel. A reflective plate(117) reflects the light generated from the lamp. A diffusion plate(115) is installed on the lamps and diffuses the light generated from the lamps. A light condenser(122) is installed on the diffusion plate to concentrate the diffused light and supplies the light to the liquid crystal panel. The diffusion plate is formed of an acryl resin. The light condenser concentrates light by morphological characteristics. The light condenser has a semi-spherical lens shape.
