An absent mode service method of a mobile communication terminal is provided to be capable of receiving an absent situation notify text message from a receiving mobile communication terminal to store the received message, thus a receiver's absent situation can be more exactly supplied to a sender in various sentences. When a call delivery request is received from a sending mobile communication terminal, a telephone number of a receiving mobile communication terminal included in a call is checked(S11,S13). If the telephone number is registered in an absent mode list, an absent situation notify text message corresponding to the telephone number is read(S15). The read absent situation notify text message is delivered to the sending terminal(S17).
