A backup board and a producing method thereof are provided to reduce burr or smear phenomenon at the time of a drill processing of the backup board and to reduce abrasion or damage of the drill bit. The backup board includes a craft fiber(110) and a white base paper(120). Phenol resins containing formalin, phenol and additive are impregnated in a impregnation ratio of 36-42% and are stacked in the craft fiber(110) which has a basis weight of 175-245g. In the white base paper(120), a melamine resin containing melamine powder, formalin, H2O and additive is impregnated in an impregnation ratio of 55-61%. The white base papers(120) are installed on upper and lower surfaces of the craft fiber(110) and have a basis weight of 77-88g.
