An excessive usage preventing method of a mobile communication terminal is provided to warn a terminal user that preset reference time is exceeded while the user uses a mobile communication service, thereby inducing the user to use the service for proper time. A mobile communication service is received from a mobile communication provider(S11-S15). If usage time of the received mobile communication service exceeds preset reference time, a user is warned that the reference time is exceeded by using a predetermined notify unit(S17-S21). If the received service expires, charge details during the usage time of the expiring service are received from the mobile communication provider(S23,S47). The received charge details are displayed(S49,S51).
