A method and an apparatus for inspecting objects using multi-energy radiations are provided to considerably increase accuracy of a material recognition by recognizing the material of the object with an X-ray to use optimized distinction energy. An apparatus for inspecting objects using multi-energy radiations includes an accelerator(1), a control system(4), a spectrum modulator(2), a detector(8), and a controller(9). The control system memorizes an operation state in case of generating various energy and transmits a control signal for each energy to the accelerator for operating the accelerator in necessary operation state after receiving a trigger signal(3). The accelerator generates a specific X-ray, returns a complete command to the control system, and obtains an optimized X-ray by modulating the X-ray through the spectrum modulator. The controller allows detector to detect X-ray transmitted through the objects after the X-ray beam generates interactions on a same position with the objects. A detecting signal(12) of the detector is transmitted through a network to a workstation(13). The workstation performs data processes to obtain gray level images and material properties of the objects.
