An apparatus and a method for compensating for a hue deviation, and an image processor using the apparatus are provided to improve a hue deviation generated in an image and generate a distortion-free image. An apparatus for compensating for a hue deviation of an image includes a horizontal compensation curve generator(310), a vertical compensation curve generator(320), a compensation image generator(330), and a compensator(340). The horizontal compensation curve generator analyzes the luminance of pixels included in the first row of the image and generates a horizontal compensation curve according to the luminance. The vertical compensation curve generator analyzes the luminance of pixels included in the first column of the image and generates a vertical compensation curve according to the luminance. The compensation image generator combines the horizontal compensation curve and the vertical compensation curve to generate a compensation image. The compensator applies the compensation image to the image to compensate for the image.
