An electrical connector having an elastic pressing member is provided to reduce the cost of a terminal material and connect the electric connector with a circuit board without having a board connecting element. An electrical connector is connected to an edge card type circuit board(20) having two edge surfaces at which connection points(21) are arranged. A notch(24) is formed at one side of the circuit board. The electric connector includes a plastic base(30), a terminal(40), two first elastic pressing members(50), and a single second elastic pressing member(55). Each of the first elastic pressing members is made of a metal and includes an elastic arm(51) and a fixed part(52) fixed to a slot(34) of the plastic base. The second elastic pressing member is made of a metal and includes a fixed part(56) and two symmetrical elastic arms(57).
