A traffic limitation apparatus and a limiting method thereof are provided to limit the traffic by adjusting transmission waiting time of data of a frame unit according to a transmission speed. A traffic limitation apparatus includes an Ethernet frame buffer(104), and a control unit(100). The Ethernet frame buffer(104) receives, buffers and outputs a frame. The control unit(100) controls the Ethernet frame buffer(104) to output the received frame, and calculates a total waiting time. The control unit(100) controls the Ethernet buffer(104) to output the next frame if the calculated wait time passes after outputting the received frame.
