A cup holder for a vehicle is provided to receive cups having various sizes and shapes including a mug cup equipped with a knob by allowing a supporting member to pivotably move according the size of the cup. A cup holder for a vehicle comprises a body plate and a supporting member. The body plate has a concave receptacle to receive a cup. The supporting member has one end portion rotatably installed at the concave receptacle of the body plate such that the outer peripheral surface of the cup closely makes contact with the concave receptacle in such a manner that the cup is prevented from being shaken. The supporting member has an arc-shape and is elastically supported by a torsion coil spring. |
