A manufacturing method of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to minimize a shorting-bar forming area by forming a shorting bar of a low-resistant gate metal. There is provided a first substrate including a pixel area, a gate shorting bar area and a data shorting bar area. A gate electrode(122), a gate shorting bar(116a) and a data shorting bar(118a) are formed in the pixel area, the gate shorting bar area, and the data shorting bar area on the first substrate. A gate insulating layer(132) is formed on the first substrate, and then a contact hole is formed on the data shorting bar. A semiconductor layer(124) is formed on the gate insulating layer of the pixel area. A source electrode(126) and a drain electrode(127) are formed on the semiconductor layer of the pixel area, and a data pad connected with the data shorting bar through the contact hole is formed in the data shorting bar area. A passivation layer is formed on the first substrate. The gate shorting bar and the data shorting bar are formed of a low-resistant metal. |
