TENSION MEMBER SUPPORTING APPARATUS INSTALLED ON THE END OF OPTICAL CABLE

A tension member supporting device installed in the end of an optical cable is provided to transmit tensile force only to an outer sheathing and a tensile member not to an optical fiber when a worker pulls the optical cable, by fixing the tension member bent toward the outer peripheral surface of the outer sheathing. An optical cable(1) comprises plural optical fibers(3); an outer sheathing(7) covering plural optical fibers; and a tension member(5) disposed between the optical fiber and the outer sheathing in the longitudinal direction to protect the optical fibers. A tension member supporting device(30) is composed of a combining member(50) inserted into the end of the optical cable where plural optical fibers and the tension member are exposed to the outside, and joined to the outer peripheral surface of the outer sheathing and a pressurizing member(70) pressed to the outer peripheral surface of the combining member to support the tension member positioned at the outer peripheral surface of the combining member, wherein an end portion of the pressurizing member is bent.
