NANOCOMPOSITE USING ORGANIC AND INORGANIC NANO-COMPOUND

Provided are a polyethylene terephthalate(PET) nanocomposite which is excellent in heat resistance, and a method for preparing the polyethylene terephthalate nanocomposite. The polyethylene terephthalate nanocomposite comprises 85 mol% or more of the ethylene terephthalate unit containing an organic/inorganic hybrid nano-compound represented by the formula(I), wherein R is -CH2(CH2)3CH3 or -CH(CH3)2. The method comprises the steps of reacting ethylene glycol and dimethyl terephthalate wherein the organic/inorganic hybrid nano-compound is dispersed by esterification; and polycondensing the reactant to prepare a polyethylene terephthalate nanocomposite.
