An access platform assembly including a support frame for supporting a working platform 2 at an elevated height with respect to the ground, with means 20, 21, 28, for enabling an article 34 required to be raised to an elevated level that is at and/or above the working level of the platform 2, and an article access door or the like 15 in the floor of the platform openable to reveal an aperture 16 in the platform to enable the article 34 to be lifted through the platform aperture when it is raised from a level lower than the level of the platform 2. Preferably the door includes at least one pivotally mounted panel. The platform assembly may include a support gantry structure 20, 21 with a support rail 21, the support rail supporting a load support bar 30 which is associated with a pulley/ rope guide system. The assembly is suitable to raise window frames, sheet glass/ plastics, doors or solar panels to the working height of the assembly. |
