<p>Fibres contg. N are dyed, continuously or non-continuously in an anhydrous suspension or solubilisate of an acid dyestuff, partic, a dyestuff contg. a sulpho gp. in a homogenised chlorinated hydrocarbon. The solubilisation is achieved by means of a surfactant comprising (A) the products of condensation of (1) 1 mole of an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aliphatic/aromatic gp. contg. >=10 C-atom plus alcoholic or phenolic gp., with (2) 1-10 moles ethylene oxide, or the esters/amine salts of the condensation products with organic or mineral polyacids, or (B) amine or polyamine salts of C12-C18 monocarboxylic acids. N-contg. fibres such as Nylon-6-6, silk, polyamide 6, polyamide 6-10 etc., are readily dyed to a deep fast colour by the process.</p> |
