A glass frit composition for Bi based electrode paste free of lead is provided to be effectively used in manufacturing plasma display panels and to satisfy PDP frit conditions of softening point and thermal expansion coefficient by comprising Bi2O3 instead of PbO, as well as other compounds such as alkali-earth metal or transitional metal oxides. The glass frit composition comprises 30-60wt.% of Bi2O3, 10-20wt.% of B2O3, 5-10wt.% of SiO2, 5-10wt.% of Al2O3 and 1-5wt.% of P2O3, and is free of lead component. The composition further contains oxides of alkali-earth metal or transitional metal. The alkali-earth metal or transitional metal oxides are at least four compounds selected from a group consisting of MgO, CaO, MoO2, SnO2, Fe2O3, TiO2 and ZnO. The composition is used to produce an electrode paste composition for manufacturing PDP electrode. |
