A security method in a mobile terminal having a camera is provided to increase the level of security all the more by registering an image in the memory of a mobile terminal as a security image and releasing the security if the same image as the registered image is inputted from the camera when the mobile terminal is in security mode. In registering an image for the security of a mobile terminal having a camera, the control part of the mobile terminal judges whether a security image registration command is inputted(S11). If the security image registration command is inputted, the control part drives the camera(S13), and judges whether a photographing command is inputted(S15). In case that the photographing command is inputted, the control part registers and stores a photographed image as a security image(S17). The control part operates the mobile terminal in security mode(S19).
