A method and an apparatus for annealing a transformer core are provided to reduce power loss of the transformer by maintaining a unique property of a cold rolled steel sheet after manufacturing the core. A base(110) is installed on a floor. A 3-story lamination unit(120) is arranged on the base. An inner cover(130) is mounted on the base and covers the 3-story lamination unit. An outer cover(140) covers the inner cover and includes a heat which generates heat according to a heating signal. Temperature sensors(150) are arranged on respective stories of the 3-story lamination unit inside the inner cover and output respective temperature sensing signals from the respective stories. A nitrogen supply unit(160) supplies nitrogen into the outer cover according to a nitrogen supply signal. A controller(170) outputs the heating signal and the nitrogen supply signal, so that a predetermined inner temperature is maintained according to the temperature sensing signals.
