An apparatus for reducing a noise and a display device using the same are provided to suppress the generation of noise in power-on by generating a masking sound from a masking sound source for a certain time. An apparatus for reducing a noise of a display device includes a power-on detector(41), a noise controller(42), and a masking sound source(43). The power-on detector detects a power-on signal of a display panel(30). The noise controller generates a masking signal in order to mask a starting noise according to the power-on signal. The masking sound source receives the masking signal, and outputs a masking sound to the display panel so as to mask the starting noise. The masking sound has a higher sound pressure than the starting noise.
