A glove box lamp switch is provided to keep the switch in contacting even when goods accommodated in a glove box are concentrated to a side, so that a lamp is smoothly turned on when the glove box is opened. A glove box lamp switch includes a first terminal(20) installed to an inner end of a damper cylinder(10), and a second terminal(60) installed to an end of a damper piston(50) and contacting the first terminal due to the movement of the damper piston. The first terminal is preferably installed to a position opposite to a connecting position between the damper cylinder and an instrument panel. The first terminal includes symmetrically disposed first and second semi-cylindrical contact terminals(20a,20b) having protruded contacts(25) to be connected to the intermediate portion of a power cable. The first terminal is preferably installed in a cut recess formed at the end of the damper cylinder. The cut recess is formed perpendicular to the central axis of the damper cylinder. The second terminal is installed at a position opposite to the connecting position between the damper cylinder and a glove box.
