An FFS(Fringe Field Switching) mode liquid crystal display device and a fabrication method thereof are provided to control a viewing angle in vertical and horizontal directions without a white pixel by forming a viewing angle control area as well as a display control area in one pixel. A liquid crystal display device has a display picture formed of a group of pixels. Each pixel has a display control area(10) controlled to incline liquid crystal molecules by n type liquid crystal, and a viewing angle area(20) controlled to incline liquid crystal molecules by n type liquid crystal in a vertical direction or in a horizontal direction, and receiving a control voltage through a viewing angle control line(30) independently from a common line of the display control area. |
