PURPOSE: A system and a method for downloading a hierarchical image in an exchange system are provided to remove the overload of a specific processor by hierarchically performing the downloading of an image. CONSTITUTION: A TP(Transport Platform) HUMX(420) requests an image downloading to a TP loading block(300)(413). The TP MPU(Main Processor Unit)(410) starts an initial operation(417), and receives an image corresponding to an MPU from an operator terminal(400)(419). The TP MPU(410) saves the image received from the operator terminal(400) in its own flash memory(421) and executes the TP MPU loading block(300) for downloading the image(423). The TP MPU loading block(300) reports a running version to the operator terminal(400)(425). The TP HMUX(420) requests the image downloading to the TP MPU loading block(300)(427). The operator terminal(400) downloads a corresponding image of an HMUX to the TP MPU loading block(300)(429). The TP MPU loading block(300) saves the image downloaded from the operator terminal(400) in its own RAM disk(431) and downloads the corresponding image of the HMUX to the TP HUMX(420)(433). The TP HMUX(420) saves the image downloaded from the TP MPU loading block(300) in its own flash memory(437). The TP HMUX loading block(310) executes the downloaded image(437). |
