A microwave oven is provided to be capable of checking the interior of a steam vessel to determine a steam cooking state. A microwave oven includes a main body(10), an oscillating part(20), and a steam vessel(30). The main body provides a cooking space for heating foods. The oscillating part is mounted in the main body to scan an electronic wave into the cooking space. The steam vessel cooks using steam and electronic waves of the oscillating part. The steam vessel has a bottom surface coated with an electronic wave absorption member to absorb the electronic wave emitted form the oscillating part. The steam vessel includes a base, and a cover(32). The base has an accommodating part for containing water. The cover covers the base.
