A PTC device is provided to prevent a resistance of the PTC device from being excessively increased by a thermal stress. A PTC(Positive Temperature Coefficient) device includes a PTC element(10), a pair of electrodes(12,14), and a protective layer(20). The PTC element contains a polymer matrix and conductive particles. The electrodes are contacted with the PTC element. The protective layer is made of a hardened material of an epoxy resin and an epoxy resin composition which contains a thiol-group hardener. The protective layer encloses the PTC element, so that the PTC element is sealed from the outside. The epoxy resin composition further contains amine chemicals.
