摘要 An optical network for bi-directional wireless communication is provided to increase modulation indexes of time slots and channels by removing the necessity of inputting a control signal to an electro-optic converter. A CS(Central Station)(310) converts a downlink radio signal into a downlink optical signal, and photo-electrically converts an uplink optical signal into an uplink radio signal. A downlink photoelectric converter(321) converts the downlink optical signal received from the central station(310) into a downlink radio signal. An uplink electro-optic converter(322) converts the uplink radio signal into an uplink optical signal. An antenna(329) wirelessly transmits the downlink radio signal and wirelessly receives the uplink radio signal. The first coupler(325) separates the downlink radio signal which has been converted by the downlink photoelectric converter(321) into a downlink time slot, a broadcast channel, and a sub-carrier channel. The second coupler(327) separates the uplink radio signal wirelessly received by the antenna(329) into an uplink time slot, a broadcast channel, and a sub-carrier channel. A splitter(326) splits a portion of the downlink time slot separated by the first coupler(325). A switch(340) alternately inputs and outputs the uplink time slot and the downlink time slot. A controller(330) recognizes a non-transmission band in which data is not included from the downlink time slot which has been split by the splitter(326), and controls input and output of the uplink and downlink time slots of the switch(340).
