An apparatus for controlling a driving current in semiconductor integrated circuits is provided to freely adjust the driving current by adding an adjusting unit at a driving stage of the apparatus. An apparatus for controlling a driving current in semiconductor integrated circuits includes a driving stage(10) and an adjusting stage(20). The driving stage selectively couples an I/O port(5) with a source terminal or a ground terminal. The adjusting stage is connected to the I/O port through the driving stage. The adjusting stage includes pull-up switches(27,37,47) and pull-down switches(29,39,49). The pull-up switches couple the source terminal with the I/O port. The pull-down switches selectively couple a ground terminal with the I/O port.
