A system and a method for providing short-distance radio communication in a mobile communication terminal are provided to transmit a short-distance radio communication signal by using a hotkey, and scan a frequency used to receive a short-distance radio communication signal, thereby initializing a communication interface. A signal of initializing a communication interface is transmitted by using a hotkey of a transmit mobile terminal(S200). A mobile identification number(MIN) of the transmit mobile terminal is inserted into a voice signal input to the transmit mobile terminal, and the voice signal is encoded into a short-distance radio communication signal. The short-distance radio communication signal is transmitted(S204). A receive mobile terminal periodically scans a frequency to receive the short-distance radio communication signal(S206). The short-distance radio communication signal is decoded such that the voice signal and the MIN of the transmission mobile terminal are obtained. The obtained voice signal is reproduced, and the MIN of the transmission mobile terminal is displayed on a displayer of the reception mobile terminal.
