A real-time debugging method and apparatus for color temperature estimation are provided to perform tuning and debugging operations for color temperature detection without affecting automatic white balancing. An image signal processor for color temperature estimation includes an interpolator(330) for interpolating an electric image signal inputted from an image sensor(310), a converter(335) for converting the interpolated image signal into YUV data, and a region determination unit(340) for outputting a first enable signal when the interpolated image signal corresponds to pixels included in a color temperature detection region. The image signal processor further includes a micro-controller unit(350) for outputting a second enable signal when a debugging command is inputted, a multiplexer(360) for outputting a third enable signal when the first and second enable signals are inputted, and a color applying unit(350) for receiving the YUV data from the converter and updating the YUV data such that a current pixel represents a predetermined color when the third enable signal is received from the multiplexer.
