A method and an apparatus for charging a sensor node battery are provided to extend an exchanging period of the sensor node battery by reducing mean power consumption of a sensor network. An apparatus for charging a sensor node battery includes a charging node(50) and a sensor node(60). The charging node receives power from a power line and RF transmits electric power according to an RF(Radio Frequency) scheme. The sensor node is arranged inside a charging node coverage which is formed according to a chargeable area of the charging node. The sensor node receives the RF charging power from the charging node and charges an inner battery. The charging node includes an RF power generator and an antenna. The RF power generator converts DC power to the RF power, which is transmitted by an RF signal.
