A reserved recording device of a DVD(Digital Versatile Disk)/VCR(Video Cassette Recorder) combination system and a method thereof are provided to record a reservation signal received on a VCR tape for a preset time as receiving a reservation broadcasting signal, and to copy a signal recorded on a VCR to a DVD after a DVD reservation recording process is completed, thereby safely maintaining data recorded on the DVD. A DVD deck(12) records a reservation broadcasting signal on a DVD. A VCR deck(24) records the reservation broadcasting signal on a VCR tape. A video/audio processor(26) processes the broadcasting signal to deliver the processed signal to the VCR deck(24). A DVD encoder(16) encodes the broadcasting signal, and delivers the signal to the DVD deck(12). A switching unit(28) switches to deliver the broadcasting signal to the processor(26) or the encoder(16) and to deliver a signal between the processor(26) and the encoder(16). A controller(22) controls so then the broadcasting signal is recorded on the VCR tape by controlling the switching unit(28), and then the broadcasting signal recorded on the VCR tape is copied to the DVD after the broadcasting signal is recorded on the DVD.
