METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SELECTING RELAY STATION IN COMMUNICATION USING MULTIHOP RELAY SCHEME

A relay station selection method in a communication system using a multi-hop relay scheme and a system therefor are provided to enable a base station to transmit relay station information to a mobile station, so that the mobile station performs multi-hop relay communication with the base station through a relay station having a good channel state. A mobile station(350) receives relay station information capable of increasing system capacity from a serving base station(300)(302-306). The mobile station(350) measures reference signal strength of a relay station clearly stated in the relay station information(308). The mobile station(350) determines a relay station whose measured reference signal strength satisfies a preset condition as a relay station for relaying a signal(310).
