A planar material storing system is provided to shorten the work time by providing planar materials of various sizes at an upper portion of a transfer path. A planar material storing system includes a cassette(120) and a drive section(140). The cassette includes vertical beams vertically located between soft rollers, horizontal beams connecting the upper and lower ends of the vertical beams, beams both ends of which are fixed to the horizontal beams and located between the soft rollers, and bars both ends of which are fixed to the facing beams, horizontally located, and installed at regular intervals along the beams. The planar materials moved along a transfer path are supported by the bars. The drive section transfers the cassette upward and downward. The cassette has a hexahedral structure, and is located in a frame of a hexahedral structure to be moved along the frame vertically.
